Your floor plans, WiFi scans, and heatmaps are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or sold. If you subscribe to HeatFi Pro, standard purchase and subscription data is handled by our payments provider, RevenueCat, as described below — that's the only data that leaves your device.
HeatFi ("we", "our", or "us") is an iOS application for creating WiFi heatmaps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (if any), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
HeatFi's core survey and heatmap functionality is designed to operate entirely on-device. We do not operate our own servers that receive your floor plans, scans, or location data.
Data processed locally on your device (never transmitted to us):
Subscription and purchase data: If you purchase or manage a HeatFi Pro subscription, purchase events and an anonymous, RevenueCat-generated app user ID are shared with our subscription platform, RevenueCat, so it can validate your purchase and unlock Pro features. If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, HeatFi also shares Apple's AdServices attribution token (via RevenueCat) so we can understand which App Store search or ad placement led to your download — this is used in aggregate for marketing attribution, not to build an advertising profile of you. See Section 7 for details on RevenueCat.
Analytics (optional, aggregated): We may use Apple's built-in App Store analytics, which provides aggregated, anonymized data such as total downloads and crash reports. This data is provided by Apple and does not identify individual users.
HeatFi requests access to your device's location to help you mark your position on a floor plan as you walk through a space. This location data:
You can revoke location access at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → HeatFi.
HeatFi reads the signal strength of your connected WiFi network to generate heatmaps. We do not collect, store, or transmit your WiFi network name (SSID), password, MAC address, or any other network credentials.
When you export a heatmap as a PDF or image, that file is generated on your device and shared through iOS's standard share sheet. We have no visibility into where you send or store exported files.
HeatFi does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.
HeatFi does not use third-party advertising SDKs or general-purpose analytics/tracking frameworks. It does integrate two third-party services, both limited to subscription and purchase functionality:
You can decline App Tracking Transparency at any time without affecting your ability to use HeatFi or manage your subscription — it only controls whether the AdServices attribution token is shared.
All project data is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. You can delete your data at any time by:
Your floor plans, scans, and project data remain on your device, where security is managed by your iPhone's built-in security features, including device encryption and Face ID / Touch ID protection. We encourage you to keep your iOS software up to date. The limited purchase data shared with RevenueCat (Section 7) is protected in transit and at rest under RevenueCat's own security practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of HeatFi after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
