Your Data Stays on Your Device

1. Who We Are

HeatFi ("we", "our", or "us") is an iOS application for creating WiFi heatmaps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (if any), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

2. Information We Collect

HeatFi is designed to operate entirely on-device. We do not operate servers that receive personal data from the app.

Data processed locally on your device (never transmitted to us):

• Floor plan images you import or draw
• WiFi signal strength (RSSI) readings captured during scans
• Your approximate location within your scanned space (used only to pin readings to your floor plan)
• Project names and settings you configure

Analytics (optional, aggregated): We may use Apple's built-in App Store analytics, which provides aggregated, anonymized data such as total downloads and crash reports. This data is provided by Apple and does not identify individual users.

3. Location Data

HeatFi requests access to your device's location to help you mark your position on a floor plan as you walk through a space. This location data:

• Is used only during active scanning sessions
• Is stored locally on your device as part of your project data
• Is never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time by deleting the associated project

You can revoke location access at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → HeatFi.

4. WiFi Information

HeatFi reads the signal strength of your connected WiFi network to generate heatmaps. We do not collect, store, or transmit your WiFi network name (SSID), password, MAC address, or any other network credentials.

5. Exported Files

When you export a heatmap as a PDF or image, that file is generated on your device and shared through iOS's standard share sheet. We have no visibility into where you send or store exported files.

6. Children's Privacy

HeatFi does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.

7. Third-Party Services

HeatFi does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, or tracking libraries. The only third-party platform involved is Apple (App Store distribution and optional crash analytics), which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All project data is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. You can delete your data at any time by:

• Deleting individual projects within the app
• Deleting the HeatFi app from your device (this removes all associated data)

9. Security

Because all data remains on your device, security is managed by your iPhone's built-in security features, including device encryption and Face ID / Touch ID protection. We encourage you to keep your iOS software up to date.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of HeatFi after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
